Many business processes require the consistent following of collaborative procedures; the use of approved content; and the assembly of the results into a standard format. In practice however, these processes often become ad hoc, the content is reinvented and document assembly is manual and unapproved. This raises compliance issues, can create costly errors and is very inefficient.
At this session we will show how SharePoint can be used to enable “component content management” (CCM). We will use the example of automating the federal government’s cyber-security, Harmonized Threat and Risk Assessment methodology to consistently reuse security content, support risk analysis and automatically assemble the Threat and Risk Assessment (TRA) report. Other applicable processes for component content management include contract management, management of technical maintenance documentation and loan origination.
