The Formark Development Kit provides the technology that allows you to build applications that appear as “super users” capable of automating user actions and driving business processes using Livelink. Instead of building modifications inside Livelink to force it to interact with users or other systems in a particular way, Formark’s approach lets Livelink just be Livelink – leaving it alone to do what it does best and moving the application-specific processing outside of Livelink.

At the heart of the Formark Development Kit is Formark’s unique LLCOM technology, which puts a high-level Microsoft COM object wrapper around Livelink’s standard API. This allows Livelink to be called from any standard Microsoft environment, including applications written in Visual Basic or Visual C++, or from web pages that use ASP or ASP.NET.

Through the LLCOM interface, Formark Development Kit supports:

• Ad hoc transactions with systems outside of Livelink
• Automated Livelink extranets for “instant collaboration”
• Dynamic creation and modification of Livelink workflows
• Background “robots” to automatically handle workflow steps
• Creation of Livelink accounts
• Creation of Livelink workspaces, projects, folders, files, etc.
• Addition of user documents or files
• Creation of custom documents based on user parameters

and many other Livelink user and administrative functions.
